We are committed to the human rights of our community and the world.

This page is a work-in-progress.

If you are not already familiar, there is a document called The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This document outlines the rights/ protections of all humans.

All organizations and causes below advocate for human rights in some way. We aim to present these human rights issues removed from political influence. The issue may also have been politicized in the mainstream, but we advocate for the human rights perspective and take no political stance. This is similar to Amnesty International’s approach. Because of this alignment, you will see many resources from them on this page, as they also offer free education and their approach treats all involved with dignity and respect.

Please note that all are welcome in our space and that we believe all of us can work together to uphold human rights.

Stop the Palestinian genocide

Please support Palestinian relief.

We are raising funds for Mohammed from Gaza. He is a 27 year old man from Gaza who has spent years fundraising and providing aid to his community through Smile Gaza. He recently became a father and his needs have become even more dire as he searches for food, water, and formula to help his family survive. His GoFundMe is one option to help him and his family. You can also send help via PayPal. He has been documenting his experience as a refugee and is in need of all possible support.

Update September 04, 2025: Ayla has been released from the hospital after being admitted and treated for malnutrition and other complications. Mohammed’s wife’s brother was shot and killed today. Their family is mourning and needs donations for formula, medical care, food, and survival.

Update September 09, 2025: Ayla has been admitted to the hospital for jaundice. Mohammed is in dire need of funds.

Update September 13, 2025: Ayla has been released from the hospital after treatment for jaundice. Mohammed’s family is in need of your ongoing support, as his baby and family need to eat.

Please get in touch for us to send his personal Instagram or if you would prefer to give us a donation to get to him. We recently held a fundraiser at the gym for him and appreciate all the support from those who attended and those who contributed, even if they couldn’t attend! Your contributions made it possible for Mohammed to get formula for his baby. Our next fundraiser is September 14, 2025!

WANT TO DO MORE?

One of our members is selling Palestinian soap and donating proceeds to aid organizations.
Please send us an email if you would like to purchase soap from her or scan her QR code while you’re at the gym! Suggested donation is $5+ per bar.

Head to Amnesty International! This page will take you to a list of one task to complete per day to increase your impact on helping end the genocide.

The Ahmaud Arbery Foundation

The murder of Ahmaud Arbery violated multiple human rights as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Ahmaud was murdered for simply running in his neighborhood. His mother “refused to let injustice have the final word” and she created The Ahmaud Arbery Foundation. Please visit this page to see how you can honor Ahmaud Arbery’s legacy and his mother’s work, as well as take meaningful action.

While Ahmaud’s killers were convicted, his legacy deserves lasting action and systemic change.

Time is running out for Robert Roberson (Innocence project)

Robert Roberson a Special Education student when he dropped out of school after the 9th grade and a person with autism spectrum disorder, is an innocent father who has spent over 20 years on death row in Texas for a crime that never occurred. In 2002, Mr. Roberson’s two-year old, chronically ill daughter, Nikki, was sick with a high fever and undiagnosed pneumonia and suffered a short fall from bed. Hospital staff did not know Mr. Roberson had autism and judged his response to his daughter’s grave condition as lacking emotion. Mr. Roberson was prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced to death under the now-discredited Shaken Baby Syndrome hypothesis. Mr. Roberson would be the first person in the U.S. executed based on the debunked shaken baby hypothesis unless the courts or Governor Abbott intervenes.” -Innocence Project Case Page

Innocence Project Update from July 2025:

On July 16, Texas scheduled Mr. Roberson’s execution for Oct. 16, despite overwhelming evidence of his innocence  — even while the state’s highest criminal court is reviewing new evidence further proving his innocence.

“Texans should be outraged that the court has scheduled an execution date for a demonstrably innocent man,” Mr. Roberson’s attorney Gretchen Sween said in a statement.” -Innocence Project Update

Support the Save the Children's “Let Children Live” campaign

This is a partnership between Save the Children and Amnesty International. It is a very simple way to get involved in advocating for children of Palestine.

Participants sign up for the name of a child in the occupied territory and make that child’s name visible, whether on social media or other ways. The goal is to match every name with someone who will make the child visible.

To participate, you can visit the Let Children Live campaign page. You will be provided with a real child’s name and instructions on how to share. You can be as creative as you’d like or simply copy and paste their recommendation of:

“I don’t know this child, but I know they deserve to live in safety and with dignity. This child is one of the 2.38 million Palestinian children who have the right to a future. Please sign up at letchildrenlive.com and share their name on social media to make sure every child is represented.”

Demand Justice for sudan

According to Amnesty International,

“Despite the ongoing violence and immense suffering of civilians, the White House has remained largely silent on Sudan. Demands for enforcing the 2005 UN Security Council arms embargo on Darfur have not gained traction. Meanwhile, the humanitarian response remains woefully underfunded, and civilians continue to suffer.”

Additionally, they state that “Since [2023], over 11 million people have been displaced, and over 24,000 have been killed.” Please visit Amnesty International’s press release from earlier this year to read about the use of sexual violence towards women and girls in Sudan. Women’s rights are human rights.
